Prof. Volker Wahn mit Hilfenhaus Preis ausgezeichnet

Mit dem Hilfenhaus Preis würdigt die Plasma Protein Therapeutics Association (PPTA) Prof. Volker Wahns Lebenswerk, zu dem auch die Gründung des Ärztenetzwerks FIND-ID gehört. In der Begründung der PPTA heißt es:

„Prof Dr med Volker Wahn has been working as a clinical immunologist for about 40 years. At the end of his professional career, he was head of the Infection Immunology Section of the Clinic for Paediatrics, Pneumology and Immunology at the Charité in Berlin. He has written numerous original works, edited various textbooks with the aim of raising the interest of physicians in the field of "clinical immunology", but primary (congenital) immunodeficiencies (PID). In the early 2000 he launched the website www.immundefekt.de and in 2008 he founded together with other engaged professionals the expert network FIND-ID to improve diagnosis and the access to treatment of PID patients.”
